Conversation series: Life in lockdown

We know the power of conversation to transform us, to teach us, to help us reach an understanding, but, sometimes, we just need to be heard, to be comforted, to say our piece and have our doubts and fears seen and held.

So, whilst most of our conversations here at CWH are aimed at being educational, uplifting and interesting, sometimes we just need to talk about what's weighing us down - our raw experience of life - and, through that, provide insight and perspective and, we hope, the knowledge that you have people out there that feel the same as you.

Our conversations about this last year and our ongoing experience of life in the Pandemic are in this category. We have had them over zoom and on the rare occasions we've been able to be together these last 10 months. Of course we hope you get something useful from them, even if it is just the sense that you're not alone in suffering during this extraordinary time.

Kezra and I are both dyed in the wool optimists, though, and we believe there is a lot more than comfort to be taken from our conversations, which is why we're making them available here for you. You can see them on our You Tube channel and the first is there right now! All about how we each experienced that first UK lockdown and what we learned from it.

In future conversations, we'll be looking at the build up to lockdown 2, what drove each of us to leave the UK in the Autumn, me for Portugal and Kezra for Italy, and how we coped with news from home while navigating the weird and wonderful variations of lockdown in our new homes.

We also have a great piece in our resources library too if you wish to take a look at that here.

This video is approx an hour long, but great value (in my humble opinion!) because, as always, we spark off each other and laughs and light emerge - we hope you enjoy it!

We are really looking forward to more conversations with each other and you, our community members.
