Where to start with courses and workshops?

One of the challenges that we have found is the overwhelming amount of resource and guidance available when practicing or empowering yourself to make changes, or improvements to your life. Whatever those are, the wellness an wellbeing landscape can be daunting with various practices, tools, start points or opinions on how and when or why you might want to try something.

Our aim is to make that journey as seamless and as easy as possible.

To offer you a few thoughts on where to begin and what courses or workshops might be right for you we thought we would offer a guide to getting started along with some complimentary resources.

Identify where you are now, and what courses and workshops might help you to facilitate your journey of transformation…

Firstly, congratulate yourself for putting you first.

It is a difficult thing to recognise or step forward & claim our life as our own. With its ups and downs, twists and turns it it takes courage to recognise that you would like something to change and then, begin to change that. So please take a moment to smile and Thank yourself as we too thank you for being here.

  1. Try not to do everything at once. Start small and begin to understand how you you find the structure, how much time you can give this self development and course and how it works in your life. Small incremental changes are far more sustainable and positive than trying to do it all at once.

  2. Read our ‘Making changes’ post to learn a little more about beginning to implement a routine that works for you in your life.

  3. Be kind to you. Asking questions about what you desire, dream of and where your life might be going can be daunting.

  4. Is there something you enjoy doing already? Do you like meditation but are struggling to really imbed it effectively in to your routine? Perhaps you honour your body with gentle movement or yoga but are looking for something more mindful. Think about where you are now, what is working for you and what isn’t?

  5. Why are you here, what made you join the Tribe? It’s a great first question as to what content you might find enjoyable or useful and what in our Wellness Library is for you.

  6. What works for you, something self -led or would you prefer to be guided through the process? We offer both styles of courses and workshops so

  7. If you struggle to find time or are working with a busy schedule then you might like to begin a journal or tracker to take note of how you feel, the things you are doing each day in terms of movement, nutrition, any holistic health practices and the effects all of these are having on you. It may help you to learn what you naturally are drawn to, what times of day work best for you or where you’d like to really delve a little deeper. There is a template for this in our Rising Roots mini course above.

  8. Explore our library, take your time. There is no rush.

  9. Remember that we are constantly adding different things for our Tribe members to benefit from, be those further courses or events, downloads, live conversations, blog posts or advise on nutrition and accompanying recipes. There is an entire library of ideas so take your pick and remember, as a member you get accessed to even our archived content so you won’t ever miss out on anything.

  10. We offer a special ‘Finding You’ course which is perfect if you are at a crossroads in your life or where you may be asking yourself what else there is for you, so please do visit our Courses pages to learn more about this. The natural progression from this would be our wonderful ‘Soul Food’ course which delves even deeper in to understanding yourself, digging deep and listening to your soul and your heart, learning to trust yourself and then taking steps to transform your life with that knowledge.

  11. True wellness or change begins by allowing ourselves to be comfortable with where we are now and taking the time to honour our journey so far. This can be done in many ways but affirmations and mediations for acceptance are a great start, as is mindful breathing which connects you with your body & brings you home to yourself.

  12. Listen to our conversation about Toxic Wellness and how you can enter in to this space with confidence, trust and tranquility.

  13. If you would like to begin to gently love yourself, then affirmations can be incredibly powerful and can be done with a simple 2 minute practice in the mornings. Download some beautiful self love and confidence affirmations from your exclusive Tribe Wellness Library.

  14. Our podcast is a space where we both talk about a number of topics all focussed on how conversation can be a real key to change. There are suggestions for improving conversation in romantic relationships and how that can bring you closer to your partner, how you can use conversation in a way that creates less friction and, beginning to reclaim yourself from trauma through careful discussion.

Start with our Finding You course to begin to ask the questions that will dig a little deeper and allow you to think about the way that you wish your life to look. Even if you are a well practiced meditator or regularly journal or take stock of your inner conversations, it’s a great place just to check in and begin listening to your intuition with optimism and generosity.
